They say that the best ballads are made by rockers, so we set out to look for the best rock ballads of the 80s . In fact, all the big rock groups have done at least one ballad, Led Zeppelin, Guns n 'Roses, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi ... Here we leave a brief sample:

Created by vocalist Joey Tempest and keyboardist Mic Michaeli , it has a desperate letter from a man looking for this woman on the horizon to express hope that they will meet again one day.
Is this love - Whitesnake (1987)
From the 1987 album, David Coverdale and company making a hymn to love . It is rumored that the song was originally and especially written for Tina Turner . The song became one of Whitesnake's greatest hits. In the music video appears David Coverdale's wife , Tawny Kitaen, who had also appeared in the band's previous video, Here I Go Again .

I'll be there for you - Bon Jovi (1988)
Dramatic declaration of love, written in blood and sweat and, why not, tears. Bon Jovi doing what he does best: ballads. Originally released on the 1988 album New Jersey , it became the third single from the band's album. As the band (and hard rock) was at its peak of popularity at this time , the song quickly rose to the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has remained one of Bon Jovi's iconic songs and a classic of the rock ballad genre.
Patience - Guns N 'Roses (1988)
The song talks about the problems between Axl Rose and his ex-wife Erin Everly, although none of this has ever been confirmed by any member of the group. The hotel where the video was filmed was destroyed a few days after its recording.
Angel - Aerosmith (1987)
After a period of sharp decline between 1979 and 1986, in 1987 the manager of Aerosmith hired external composers and returned with a record that returns them to the path of success, with songs like this (the first of a long list of ballads of success), which however is from the vintage of guitarist Joe Perry.
